I really enjoy living in Argentina. As I begin to explore its wonderful cities, I want to have a place to share my photos and thoughts with you. This is that place! I hope that you enjoy my offerings. As Montevideo is just across the river, as close as Mar del Plata, I'll include photos of my adventures in Uruguay too.
A colorful, temporary sculpture, representing the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, was assembled along several blocks of Ave De Mayo in Buenos Aires. On the anniversary of the original event, using the domino effect. the wall came down. For me, not only was it dramatic but it was a very emotional experience. It represented an expression of personal freedom, something as an American I have come to fully appreciate through my world travel. The event was culminated by a Carnival like performance with drumming and people dancing in the street.
